Topic: Outdoor recreational sports and other recreational activities.
Didactic main aim: To extend the pupils’ communicative competence by describing actions about topics they are really interested in, such as extreme sports.
Vocabulary: Canoeing, kayaking, surfing, kitesurfing, parachuting, base jumping, volcano surfing... // fly, surf, climb... // dangerous, more dangerous than, the most dangerous, fast, faster, fastest...
Linguistic structures: I really enjoy this sport. // I feel like flying. // It’s the best feeling. // I do experiment fear a lot of times when kayaking. // I don’t want to die.
Socio-cultural aspects: The students will learn how to describe very dynamic or speedy actions.
Resources: Written and oral descriptions, internet links, the written lyrics of the song of this unit, and videos.
