Level: Third cycle (Y6)
Topic: Dinosaurs and other prehistorical animals.
Didactic main aim: To extend the pupils’ communicative competence by describing actions about topics in which the students are really interesting in: Dinosaurs.
Vocabulary: Dinosaur, carnivore, predator, claw, jaw, Mosasaur, Tyranosaurus Rex, Velociraptor... // smash, trap... // large, larger, largest...
Structures: Where did a mosasaur live? // What's a Tyranosaurus Rex? // Can you describe it?...
Socio-cultural aspects: The students will learn the most relevant prehistoric animals.
Resources: Written and oral descriptions, internet links, the written lyrics of the song of this unit, and videos.
Timing: 7 sessions (45 minutes each one).
